Rigellian Species

The Rigellians are mammalian humanoids superficially similar to humans in many ways but with some important differences. Most notable of these is their skin color, typically a light blue-green but ranging from dark glossy blue-black to light blue-green. Rigellian women, noted throughout Terran Empire space by the men they encounter as exceptionally alluring and attractive, tend toward the light blue-green skin tone.

Rigellian hair is naturally black or brown but often dyed by women. Rigellians have three fingers and a thumb on each hand. The Rigellian larynx can produce a wider variety of sounds than Humans can, including sounds the human ear cannot hear.

Rigellian society is heavily balkanized on their worlds, with nations whose political systems range from pure democracy to fascism and despotism.

Rigellians are naturally curious, sometimes dangerously so. They love music, poetry, plays, and musicals.
